The right laundry system for your home is key to getting your laundry washed, folded and put away and while the right hamper won’t do that for you, it might make the process a little easier and possibly enjoyable. I’m sharing some laundry hamper favorites with you – if you are in need of a new system or a cute hamper, you’re going to love this post.
Choosing a laundry hamper is a personal decision but it also has to take into account your laundry habits, how many people are in your family, where you keep a laundry hamper, how often you do laundry, etc. I’m rounding up 12 options and lots of ideas for where these would make sense in your home.
I do laundry daily as a Daily Task – as a family of 5, we easily have enough laundry to do at least a load or two every day. This rhythm also keeps the laundry piles away and makes it easier to stay on top of this never-ending chore. See my favorites for laundry here.
LAUNDRY BASKETS
Let’s start with the basics. Traditional laundry baskets work great and these three a just a little different than the usual.
Collapsible Laundry Basket – Short on space? A collapsible laundry basket is a great solution. Keep it under the bed or between your washer and dryer in between laundry loads.
White Faux Wicker– I love the look of this one – they elevate the traditional laundry basket. I love the smaller weave. We use them as storage in our closet for my husband’s socks.
Slim Hamper with a Lid – I prefer these slim hampers for our kids’ laundry – they take up less space in their closet and have a cleaner look.
DIVIDED STORAGE
I love having a divided hamper to pre-separate clothing for the wash. It saves time and energy, simply place dirty laundry in the appropriate hamper bag and you’ll have separated your laundry with no extra effort. Here are three options if this is something you might be interested in.
Divided Hamper with bags – Four sorting compartments, wheels, and handles – this is a great option if you want a deluxe divided hamper.
Laundry Center – This is great for sorting and hanging laundry as you work your way through the laundry piles.
Sorter + Laundry Station – Three compartments and a board on the top for folding or just to keep it all contained.
ROUND LAUNDRY BASKETS
Round laundry baskets look great and can be space-saving. They take up less space in a closet and hold a good amount of dirty laundry.
Round Aqua Hamper – This one is a soft, flexible plastic and looks cute in a closet.
Round Metal + Wood Hamper – White and wood is a great choice for a cute hamper that looks good in a closet or in a room if a closet isn’t available.
Rope Laundry Basket – These rope laundry baskets are soft and stylish and can double as a toy bin if needed.
FABRIC LAUNDRY BASKETS
Fabric laundry baskets give a different look and feel to your laundry – here are three cute options.
Collapsible Laundry Basket – A collapsible laundry basket with handles is great if you use a laundromat or need a portable laundry solution.
Sorting Hamper – This is a great hamper on wheels with handles – it would be great in a larger laundry room under a counter or in a corner.
Rolling Laundry Basket – This slim laundry basket is cute and can fit in a tight spot or functions well for smaller loads.
